Why is creativity so important in the scale of business and life successes? You don’t need to look far; God Almighty, who made us in His image and likeness was full of creativity. Being a chip off the old block means-we as the handmade of God can only inherit that part of his characteristics. In Gen.1:27, the Bible says; “So God created man in His own image; in the image of God He created him; male and female He created them.” If the world we see is beautiful in our eyes, which is the product of the creativity of God, it means we only need to set our mind and our heart on any particular creation, and it will surely happen.
The greatest inventors of our world were not born with super-brains, but developed their creative prowess by observation and trials. Observation allow us to critically view our environment and notice lapses that need to be corrected. When the richest man in the World, Bill Gate of Microsoft, took interest in writing computer programme during his teenage years; he knew that the world existed beyond the super computers IBM was selling to the corporations of America. This giant corporations were honey ports in a honey comb. Each honey ports needs the same services as the next one. Giant corporations started out initially as SMEs, when scaled down, the services could extend to the small business and eventually the individual. Thus the birth of the personal computer.
In Gen.1:28 the Almighty God gave you and I a blank cheque in which to write the extent to which we want to progress and prosper. “Then God blessed them, and God said to them, “Be fruitful and multiply; fill the earth and subdue it; have dominion over the fish of the sea, over the birds of the air, and over every living thing that moves on the earth.”
Creativity allows the individual or SMEs to curved their own niche. It allows you to be ahead of the competition at all times by creating your own world! No creative person exist in a vacuum, God himself did not create the world in isolation. Take a peep at the scriptures, the whole trinity of God was present. He said in that same Gen.1:26 “Then God said, “Let Us make man in Our image, according to Our likeness; let them have dominion over the fish of the sea, over the birds of the air, and over the cattle, over all the earth and over every creeping thing that creeps on the earth.”
See how generous our Father is, He not only made us, but endowed us with power and authority to control the works of His hand. He did not say let me, but let us. The winning spirit that creates always associates or partners with others in bringing their creativity into reality. Read about the most successful people in the world today, there are always those in the background that play one role or the other in the success of the product or invention.
The creative mind must be a risk taker, building something out of nothing. It is one thing to have a great idea and another to actualize it. There is a saying that it is better to fail trying than not to try at all. Success comes after several failures. God had to wipe the whole of Noah’s generation, leaving only Noah and his family – because of man’s failure to adopt to the reason we were made; to obey God and keep His commandment. Through Noah, He gave mankind a second chance to exist. The world is waiting for your invention or products. The internet is the best testing ground for your ideas. Try it out!
The much talked about grace of God in 11 Corinth 8:9, which says “ By the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ, though he was rich for your sakes he became poor, so that through his poverty, you can become rich.” Many people often ignore the follow-up verses, which talks about creative wealth; this grace cannot abound in you until you dust-up that old idea you have abandon a year ago and you start working to actualize it. It is like saying there is no food (grace) for a lazy man! Reciting the above scripture without corresponding action on your part will amount to nothing. The difference between the creative person and the administrative person is that the first explores opportunities, while the latter follows a laid out pattern.
Put into practice that your usual interest or hobby, it might just be the idea the grace is waiting to manifest in for your rising! Rise and shine for your day has come, the world is waiting for your idea to change the lives of humanity.
