There is no Bible believing Christian who wouldn’t be disturbed by the unfolding events in the House of God. We have become more worldly than the world by flaunting the blessing of God in our lives. Where we are to impact humanity with our substance, we prefer to lavish it on our earthly desires. Are all these desires in sync with our calling into the priesthood of Jesus Christ? Do you ever stop a while to ask yourself the question, if Jesus Christ was me, would he do what I am doing now? Probably not, because the answer may be in contrast to your present life style.
So the safe route for us as Christ followers is to circumvent the gospel to suite our lifestyles, so that the congregation would hail us as truly anointed for the work of our calling. Yes, the calling of the Lord is without repentance and His blessings maketh rich and added no sorrow. The usual cover up is II Corinth 8:6. For you know the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ, that though He was rich, yet for your sakes He became poor, that you through His poverty might become rich. To the modern day custodians of the gospel preached by our Lord and Saviour, many have perished over the ages because of the lopsided interpretation of the scriptures. The history of the Church is there for your learning. God Almighty is refining His Church by exposing those salient issues that would lead many to hell fire. Believe it or not, Bethren, we are in the last days as the gospel is being fulfilled all over the world. The forces of Satan are on a rampage and are ready to devour anyone who mentions and his clothed in that name that is above every other name in heaven, on earth and beneath the earth; Jesus Christ, the son of the Living God.
Take a cue from the early apostles of Jesus Christ, what was their life styles like and how did they represent the gospel in their actions and inactions? A common line that passed through them all was in their humility, simplicity, love and charity. They admonished those in the early churches of the need to balance the needs of the Spirit against the needs of the flesh. To sow to the desires of the flesh was to reap corruption and to uphold the desires of the Spirit was to reap eternal life in Christ Jesus. You rich man, rich woman and rich pastor, the question you should ask yourself is, if Jesus Christ is me now as I am, how will he distribute all that I have amassed? O’ sons and daughters of God of these generation, do not enslave yourselves with the perishable material possession of this world and lose your seat in heaven. Hear the voice of him that is down the bottom, who has seen it all and have tasted it all and now cry for you to see what he has seen and hear what he has heard, so that heaven will not be a mirage.
